Astra Manufacturing Gourmet Series is a professional, stainless steel espresso machine. Despite its compact size, nothing has been neglected to compromise quality. With a 4.2 liter boiler, an internal full sized rotary vane pump and motor, all of its components are the same as those found in the larger Astra machines. This model's nostalgic look, quality of construction, and addorability make the Gourmet series a true best seller. These models are available in a SELF CONTAINED POUR-OVER configuration or Plumbed. The Pour-over version is perfect for portability and makes the perfect catering espresso machine. The self contained tank, deep drip tray and 110V operation make the Astra Gourmet easy to setup and use at any catering site. The Pour-over can also be simply modified to accept plumbing and can work double duty as a plumbed machine in a cafe or restaurant. A valve can even be added to allow switching between plumbed and pour-over operation. (The plumbed version cannot be modified to work as a pour-over, so if in doubt as to the future use of your machine, we strongly suggest selecting the pour-over model)

The compact size also makes this the ideal commercial machine for home use. As a true commercial machine, there are no sacrifices needed for incorporating the Gourmet into the home environment. Operating at 110V, this machine will integrate easily into a high-end home setting.

Each machine is equipped with one steam wand and one hot water valve. The steam wand makes rich froth for cappuccino or steamed milk for lattes in short order. The hot water is perfect for pre-heating cups or creating an Amreicano.

As an Automatic, the electronic touch pad located on the top of the machine is easy to access. A push of a button selects the correct amount of water needed to brew either a single or double shot of espresso.

As with all Astra machines, the Gourmet operates with ground coffee and / or pods interchangeably - no additional accessories are necessary.
