The hugely popular i-Roast home coffee roaster just got better with the new i-Roast
2! Compared to the original i-Roast, the new version has some great new features
for those who like to create their own roast profiles and some slight
improvements to the parts.
The original I-Roast was a first of its kind in the market allowing the user
to adjust roasting profiles. The user can set up roasting curves, or use preset
roasting curves. The new I-Roast adds more programming functions with 5 roast
stages and now the ability to save up to 10 customer programmed roast profiles
in memory. For the casual roaster, you can quickly and easily roast and cool
approximately 5.3 oz. of green coffee beans in about 15 minutes using the
automatic roasting profiles. For the roasting aficionado, you can completely
personalize your roasting profile. At each roasting stage, temperature is
accurately controlled. This is a function that only the most sophisticated
machines that may cost thousands of dollars have. This is the very first time it
has been used in a home roaster. With the accurate roasting time and temperature
adjustment, roasting time can be changed by 1 second and roasting temperature
can be adjusted by 5F or 2C increments. You can check the roasting temperature
during the roasting cycle. The built-in function allows you to check the
roasting temperature - no need for thermometers any more. Increase/decrease
roasting time during roasting. The i-Roast 2 gives the user the flexibility of
controlling the final roasting results by increasing or decreasing roast time up
to a maximum of 15 minutes. Patented wind tunnel and thermoflector are designed
for even roasting. The LCD display shows time, temperature, stages, and
other functional/processing/error information.
For those familiar with older Hearthware models, the capacity is considerably
larger than the previous Hearthware Precision Roaster or Gourmet Roaster. It has
never been easier to have fresh roasted coffee at home. Green beans can be
stored for up to two years but once roasted, whole bean coffee is at its optimal
flavor for 2 to 3 weeks and ground coffee starts going stale almost immediately.
When you purchase coffee at the supermarket or at many coffee shops, it may
already be stale. Roast what you need when you need it with your own home coffee
roasting equipment. For the java lover, home coffee roasting is a great hobby
and the Hearthware I-Roast is a great gift.
