The first thing you see on the Master 5000 Digital is an easy-to-read, backlit LCD display that will guide you completely through the coffee making process. The LCD panel also gives you unprecedented control over the machine. You can adjust the quantity of coffee and water. You can set the water temperature to your liking, and change it on the fly, depending on your roast type. In a heavy use environment, you can set the machine to pregrind, so it is always ready to start brewing a shot at the touch of a button. You can choose whether to have preinfusion or not. Almost every aspect of your coffee and espresso production can be controlled and modified via the LCD panel.

The machine has built in brains as well. The LCD panel will track the machine's progress as it prepares and brews the coffee or espresso. It will warn you when drawers are full, the water is low, the temperature is too high or low, and other variables.

Operation Reminders - Machine has automated sensors that tell you when to add beans, add water, descale, and empty the waste coffee container. The machine also tells you when the brewing unit is incorrectly inserted, the waste container is not inserted, or the drip tray is removed, or not fully in place.
Coffee Counter - Machine has a built in lifetime coffee counter, letting you know how many "shots" it has brewed over its lifetime.
Self Cleaning and Descaling - Built in self cleaning mode. Drop a solitab or Urnex cleaner into the water container, hit the cleaning button, and the machine does the rest. Descaling is also built in - cool feature.
Bean Volume Selector - The Digtial allows you to choose from six to nine grams of coffee used per brewing session by dialing it in via a selector in the bean compartment.

The removable water reservoir is accessible from above and contains 1.8 liters (1/2 a gallon) of fresh water.	Bean container holds 12 oz. (3/4lb) of whole beans. Built in Mulino Grinder with stone sensor allows the coffee to be ground right at the moment you brew and at the coarseness you want.	Height adjustable dispensing head which is ideal for large cups or the preparation of coffee or espresso into a glass.	Cup storage area with cover sits on the top of the machine with room for several espresso or coffee cups.
Pre-infusion system for the best flavor. The fresh ground coffee is pre-infused for a few seconds prior to brewing. This forms a solid puck and ensures full aroma extraction.	Adjustable steam nozzle with special frother ensures perfect lattes and cappuccino. Hot water is also available.	Large waste container holds the grounds from up to 30 drinks and is easily emptied from the side.	The Brewing Unit is completely accesible from the front and easily removed for the occasional thorough cleaning.
