Nesco Professional Home Coffee Roaster offers many unique and welcome innovations to the home coffee roasting arena. A quality built design, the Nesco Professional roaster features a patented catalytic exhaust system that eliminates most of the smoke and leaves only the fresh aroma of roasted coffee. For who prefer to roast inside and don't have a good vent hood, the reduced smoke from the catalytic converter will be welcome. The roaster is also quieter than many other home coffee roasters, especially the hot air roasters. The design is straight forward and easy to use. The roast times tend to be longer than other home roasters which can be helpful when trying to fine tune your roast. With more time between first and second crack, you can more easily react and stop the roast at the perfect time. Roast times can be a bit long for some on darker roasts, but are fine for medium and light roasts. A newly added fill line on the roast chamber was added for dark roasts to help alleviate this issue. You can now use fewer beans and reach a dark roast in less time.

The Nesco Professional roaster features an auger that mixes the beans in the roast chamber, ensuring an even roast. The glass roast chamber makes it easy to see the progress of the beans. A regular and dark roast fill line make filling a snap. Controls are easy to access from the front panel. The roast timer ranges from 20-30 minutes which includes a 5 minute cooldown cycle (15-25 minute roast time). You can also adjust the time of the roast on the fly during the roast. By adding minutes, you could extend the timer past 30 minutes if needed, although we recommend using fewer beans if roast time is an issue. Capacity is approximately 4 ounces by weight.

The Nesco Professional is the same as the Zach and Dani's home roaster. The Zach and Dani's was named by it's previous distributor. The Nesco Pro is now distributed by the manufacturer and now carries their name.
